Some customers recently wanted to know when Meeting Minutes Sync would be available on Amazon AppStore, Samsung Apps and any other Non Google Play app store. Their concern was more around the fact that they are unable to use Meeting Minutes Sync because they purchased Meeting Minutes Pro from one of these app stores.

We have plans to make Meeting Minutes Sync available across all app stores. However, since each one uses their own in-app billing sdk it will take some time. Meanwhile, we have GOOD NEWS. If you have access to Google Play (most likely you will), just go ahead and download Meeting Minutes Sync from Google Play and use it. Meeting Minutes Pro & Sync will work together irrespective of the app store from which you downloaded those apps. Hope this clarifies and helps. Please contact us at support@srimanapps.com in case of any questions.

If your answer is YES, read on… In collaboration with the AndroidGiveAwayOfTheDay, we are giving away Meeting Minutes Pro for free for a LIMITED TIME. To get it FREE, waste no more time and head straight to http://bit.ly/1m4VtsU

Remember, this offer is valid for a LIMITED TIME.

A new update (3.1) for Meeting Minutes Pro has been released today. This will be available on Google Play in the next 2-3 hours and in the next 5-7 days in the Amazon AppStore and Samsung Apps (depending on the time taken in the approval process)

Edit: 5th May 2014, 13:00 GMT: The update is available on Amazon now.

This release adds the following features to the app:

  • Import agenda & discussion items from a text file
  • Import action items from a csv file
  • Export list of meetings to csv file
  • Attendance Reports for Meetings and Participants
  • Choose Font Size for the Exported Meeting Minutes & Agenda
  • Minor Bug Fixes

A few customers asked us recently on how multiple people using Meeting Minutes Pro collaborate and work together on a single meeting. For example, one of them would set up a meeting and agenda whereas the other one would run the meeting and capture the discussion and action items. The third one would follow up on the action items and take them to closure. Well, guess what, you can certainly do this using Meeting Minutes Pro and quite simply in fact… Heres how…

  1. User 1: Create/Import the meeting. Add the agenda
  2. User 1: Long press the meeting and choose the option “export” and then “meeting to file”
  3. User 1: Share the file with colleagues
  4. User 2: Import the meeting into their device by choosing the menu option “import” from the home screen and then “meeting from file”
  5. User 2: Update the discussion and action items
  6. User 2: Export meeting to file as in step 2
  7. User 2: Share the file with colleagues
  8. User 3: Import meeting from file as in step 4
  9. User 3: Track Action Items to closure and make the updates

A few customers asked recently for instructions to export data from the free (trial) version to the paid (Pro) version. There are multiple ways this can be accomplished. Please read below for more information.

Using Meeting Minutes Sync (Currently available only on Google Play):

This by far is the easiest and simplest method. This method can be used even if the trial and pro versions are on different devices.

  1. Open the Trial version
  2. Tap “Sync Now” button to initiate sync
  3. Upload both Database and Settings files
  4. Now open the Pro version
  5. Tap “Sync Now” button to initiate sync
  6. Download both Database and Settings files
  7. You are done

Manual Method – Database:

  1. Open the Trial version
  2. Tap menu from the home screen and choose Export and then Database (if your trial is expired, you will see a button to export the database as soon as you open the app)
  3. Open the Pro version
  4. From the home screen tap menu and choose the import option and then database
  5. Now select the database file you just exported. That generally is saved in a folder called MtgMin inside the download folder. (Please note that once you export the database, sending it out in email or saving it in Google Drive/Dropbox is optional. The database is exported into a file and stored on your device (typically in the folder download/MtgMin). So you can export from the trial version which will create that file in that folder. You can import that file into the Pro version)
  6. Now proceed to the Settings data , if required. Otherwise, you are done.

Manual Method – Settings:

  1. Open the Trial version
  2. Go to the Settings screen
  3. Tap menu and then choose the export option
  4. Open the Pro version
  5. Go to the Settings screen
  6. Tap menu and then choose the import option
  7. Now select the settings file you just exported. That generally is saved in a folder called MtgMin inside the download folder. (Please note that once you export the settings, sending it out in email or saving it in Google Drive/Dropbox is optional. The settings are exported into a file and stored on your device (typically in the folder download/MtgMin). So you can export from the trial version which will create that file in that folder. You can import that file into the Pro version)
  8. You are done

Partial Data Transfer:

If you have created meetings in both trial and pro versions, you can export/import individual meetings to/from files. For this, please do the below:

  1. Open the app version from where you want to export individual meetings
  2. Long press on the desired meeting, choose the option export and then meeting to file
  3. Open the app version where you want to import individual meetings
  4. From the home screen tap menu and choose the import option and then meeting from file
  5. Now select the meeting file you just exported. That generally is saved in a folder called MtgMin inside the download folder. (Please note that once you export the meeting to a file, sending it out in email or saving it in Google Drive/Dropbox is optional. The meeting is exported into a file and stored on your device (typically in the folder download/MtgMin). So you can export from the trial version which will create that file in that folder. You can import that file into the Pro version)
  6. Repeat as necessary
